My Story
I am what I call a “Lifer” in the Church. I grew up in a small country church that gave me a love for old Hymns and a fear of the Lord. Unfortunately, that fear caused me to build up a healthy dose of guilt and shame in my youth. Today, I am a recovering legalist who is also coming back from the over-swing of grace.
We as a body of believers are charged with the great commission, but that is too tall an order if we haven’t chosen to “seek ye first the Kingdom of God” for ourselves. Falling in love with Jesus and who He is, and loving the Lord your God with all your heart, mind, soul, and strength will give you what you need to fulfill the great commission in ways you never saw coming.
Leaning in to the gift that is the Holy Spirit will change your life! He is for today. We need Him on this earth in a way we simply won’t in Heaven. After salvation, we are invited into the journey of sanctification because God’s love compels Him to pursue our journey of becoming holy.
I hope you embrace the wild ride of sanctification while you are here on this earth. It is not a requirement to get into Heaven, but it is our greatest chance to get to know our Triune God and the depths of His power and authority. The depths of His love and kindness are unfathomable!
